I can't figure this out. Bush' polls are way down. Cheney's are down around 18% just behind OJ Simpson. They spin the economy. Example: your $20/hr. job with benefits is outsourced and you lose your job. You count as unemployed until benefits run out then you're invisible. But you take a job at Walmart at minimum wage and no benefits and that counts on the job tally for employment going up. Plus corporate profits are up making the economy look even rosier.
They spin Iraq. Gen. Peter Pace was on Meet the Press talking about how things are going very, very well in Iraq. That the good things weren't being reported. But no more would a doctor concentrate on your strong heart when you have lung cancer. I'll grant him the fact that some far outer areas in Iraq are fine. But most areas haven't reached pre-Saadam utilities such as water, electricity, sewage or unemployment (at 40%). They are obviously on the brink of civil war yet things are going very, very well (note: not just one 'very'). Do you recall 'Baghdad Bob'?
All this, and people are just taking it. We need to spy on you to save you from the terrorists. We don't need to have port security. We don't need to monitor our borders. We don't believe in hurricanes. Our troops don't really need armor or benefits or family assisstance or a real mission or compassion instead of exploitation from this government. This administration is screwing everyone that isn't them. They are on a mission from God and nothing is going to stop them from getting to their destination. But we just keep taking it.
